Summer Reading List
Reading is one of my favorite things to do during the summer. There is nothing better than sitting on my balcony on a beautiful summer day with a glass of lemonade reading a book. This summer I have accumulated a fair number of books to read that I thought I would share with you today.
What Comes After - Joanne Tompkins A mystery book about what happens after the death of two boys and the appearance of a stranger. It was my book of the month pick back in the spring that I haven't had the chance to read yet.
Braiding Sweetgrass - Robin Wall Kimmerer I've started reading this book after finishing Lessons from Plants because it has the same vibe. It is a book about what we can learn from they way indigenous communities interact with plants.
Little Fires Everywhere - Celeste Ng This is a book I've wanted to read for a long time. I held off watching the Hulu miniseries when it first came out thinking I would read the book first. A full year later, I'm finally going to read it.
Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn I love the movie and have wanted to read the book forever. I picked this one up secondhand while I was perusing through some shops downtown a couple weeks ago.
If I get through these books, I would also love to read Untamed and Where the Crawdads Sing again and The Three Body Problem. Let me know what books you are reading this summer down below. I would love to get some good book recommendations!
