What I Bought in September 2022: Early Christmas Shopping, Matcha, and more!
This was a heavy shopping month for me and I thought that I'd do another post in my recurring series What I Bought This Month! A lot of the things that I bought are gifts for others. I am a notoriously early Christmas shopper and prefer to have everything done before Thanksgiving (I've had gifts for my grandparents picked since May!). As usual, I linked everything that is still available.
Hedley and Bennett Aprons (2)
I have been making do with an Anthropologie apron with ties too short that doesn't really fit the way that I want it to. I was also in the market for an apron for my boyfriend's Christmas present. Hedley and Bennett is very expensive with aprons around $90, but there were a couple styles in the sale section that looked cute and made me feel better about spending that much money! For my boyfriend I got a navy blue apron with printed Big Birds on it as a whimsical fun apron. For myself I got a baby blue one with printed oranges and flowers. I've only used mine a couple times and love that the neck area is adjustable and the ties are nice and long. There's also a lot of pockets, which I love!
Moon Juice Ting and Magnesi-om
I've been feeling bleh lately and have wanted to up my supplement game especially as the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler. I take magnesium supplements regularly, but wanted to try Magesi-om because it has different types of magnesium in it that are supposed to absorb differently and do different things in the body (i.e. promote sleep, promote digestion, give energy). I am not currently taking a B supplement other than the multivitamin that I take when I remember to, so Ting sounded interesting. Both of these dissolve in water and taste fruity, but I haven't gotten them in yet so I can't give any opinions.
This is a repurchase for me. A tin of matcha lasts me a few months using it 4-5 days a week making it worth the price tag. This is the best match that I've tried and I see myself as a loyal Sun Goddess user for the rest of my life!
This is another Christmas gift for my boyfriend. We love weird card games and have an inside joke about squirrels, so this seemed perfect.
I am living my best clippy gal life and these are incredible. I have really heavy, thick hair and most clips that are smooth just don't hold my hair. These are a little textured and have extra teeth on the inside that really grip and allow me to do fun updos.
Assorted things from Macys
In the interest of keeping this post short, I'll summarize here. There was a really good sale on sale at Macys so I ordered things that I've wanted, but haven't bought myself. Fish spatula, fat separator, gravy boat (lol at me planning for Thanksgiving already), soap dish, and bench scraper.
And that's it! I'll continue to do these posts each month for the rest of the year so you can see all the shopping I do for my friends and family as Christmas approaches. Let me know in the comments what other posts you'd like to read as well as the best thing you've purchased this month (the apron is mine)!
