What I Bought February 2022: Dropps Detergent, Callahan Ceramics Mugs, and More!
February was a spendier month for me compared to January (if you want to see what I bought during January, click here). Both of my parents and my sister have February birthdays, so that along with Valentine's day meant I was shopping for a lot of people. I've listed everything I bought for myself below, with a little blurb about what I bought for others at the end.
I switched to Blueland laundry detergent a couple years ago in an attempt to be more eco-friendly. That worked for a while, but it didn't dissolve well in my washing machine when I used to cold cycle and overall wasn't working super well for me. Dropps was recommended because it comes in plastic free packaging and is supposed to be a more sustainable alternative. I got the lavender scented detergent and really like it so far (although I've only used it for a week or so). It dissolves well in cold, I only need one pod per wash, and my clothes feel and smell great.
I love Callahan Ceramics. I own a couple mugs and have given a pour over as a gift, but I have always wanted a roadie. They had a seconds sale where they sell imperfect goods at a discount and bought two. They are absolutely perfect, the silicon lid is so functional and easy to clean, and even though they are seconds and have character they are gorgeous.
This was something I had been looking at for a while, and it was on such a great discount that I decided to bite the bullet. It is a 100% cotton long sleeve shirt with an oversized fit. I got a cocoa brown color that has since sold out, but am dying to get more! This shirt runs extremely oversized. I am usually a small, sometimes a medium if it is fitted through the bust and I took an extra small in this shirt and it fits perfectly.
Gifts for Others:
Parents - Le Creuset Mugs in Coastal Blue
When I was home for Christmas I noticed my mom had a total of three mugs, two after one broke during my visit. These mugs are fancier than she would buy for herself, but look so good and seem nice and durable.
Sister - Tarot Cards and Potato Lamp
My sister really liked using my tarot deck when I was home for Christmas, so I decided to purchase one for her birthday. I got her the Modern Witch deck and it seems like she likes it so far. My sister is also obsessed with potatoes (someone had given her a 5 pound bag of potatoes for her birthday years ago) so I got her a large potato lamp for her room.
Boyfriend - Hydroflask
My boyfriend didn't have a reusable water bottle, so I thought that it would be a nice valentine's gift for him. I got him a teal 20 ounce wide mouth bottle and also got him the new sip lid because I knew he'd spill if he used the wide mouth (and he did! All over his desk the first time he used it).
I am going to try do a no/low buy March so hopefully next month's post will be much shorter! Let me know what your favorite purchase of February was in the comments below. Mines was the Christy Dawn sweater.
