My Top 5 Moon Juice Products: Dusts, Skincare, and Adaptogens!

Amanda Chantal Bacon, the founder of Moon Juice, has been one of my lifestyle inspirations. She is a pioneer of clean skincare, adaptogens, and lives an idyllic lifestyle in California with her husband and children. Moon Juice sells their skincare and supplements online and in person at stores like Sephora. I've tried a handful of them throughout the years and thought I would share my favorites today.

1) Sex Dust

I like to take my dusts in a coffee, hot chocolate, or chai latte and this is by far the best tasting. It contains adaptogens including shatavari, shijalit, horny goat weed, maca, and schisandra. It might be a placebo, but I feel like I have more energy and fire on the days that I take it. I haven't noticed any differences in libido, but I also am not taking it for that. I take it to spark a little internal fire and drive (usually for work) and it works for me.

2) Cosmic Cocoa

This is a hot chocolate powder that contains a serving of sex dust, a serving of spirit dust, and collagen protect in each cup. I don't love the taste of it, it has the "mushrooms and adaptogens trying to taste like chocolate" essence but I've found that mixing it into coffee or even adding a scoop of traditional hot chocolate mix takes the edge off and makes it more palatable. It's also really good for the days when you don't want caffeine, but need a boost.

3) Acid Potion

This product has single handedly done more for my skin than anything else I've tried. I apply a couple drops with my fingers on freshly cleaned skin at night before moisturizing. I use it every day, although I think if you're starting it out I would do a couple days a week to test the waters first. My skin is so smooth and I've had way fewer breakouts since exfoliating with it. I've been using this every day for nearly a year and still have some left in my bottle, so this was definitely worth the splurge.

4) Dream Dust

I am usually a good sleeper, but some nights I need a little extra something and I don't like taking melatonin. Dream dust contains ashwaghanda, schisandra, chamomile, and more. When mixed into a cup of warm water it tastes a little like chamomile tea and it's not at all unpleasant.

5) Plump Jelly

This is the newest addition to my skincare routine and while I haven't been using it long enough to say anything about long-term results, I like it. I use it in my nighttime routine because I've found that it isn't my favorite to wear under makeup. I use a pump or two applied on my face after acid potion at night. I think during the summer that might be enough moisture for my skin, but I follow it up with a thicker moisturizer during the winter. It does contain coconut oil, which doesn't react well on some people, but I found that it was worth the money and I think the bottle will last months.

Let me know what your favorite moon juice products are below! I haven't made it out to one of their stores in person to try the juices and shakes, but that is on my bucket list the next time I'm in Los Angeles.
