What I Bought in October: Aritzia Eden Coat, The Ouai Haircare, and Shark HyperAir

We are getting closer to Christmas shopping season so I've been taking it a little easier with my spending. As I've mentioned before, I like to spread out my Christmas shopping over months (or the entire year) so while I already have some presents bought and sitting in my closet, I've been saving to finish my shopping in November. If you missed any of my previous What I Bought posts, you can read them here.

Aritzia Eden Coat - Classic Camel

I was in the market for a camel colored coat and I had been eyeing different Aritzia ones for almost a full year now. I was deciding between something trendy like the Connor or Cocoon or a more timeless style like the Stedman or Slouch. I finally ended up getting the Eden because it is slightly shorter than the Slouch and I had also seen a TikTok try on and ended up liking the look of the Eden better anyway. When I bought it, it was on sale for $275 down from $398. It was still a definite splurge for me, but saving a little money on something I was planning on buying anyway felt nice. Still trying to experiment with styling, but this coat is my new favorite and I think I'll be getting a lot of wear out of it this Fall and Winter.

Ouai - Detox Shampoo, Leave-in Conditioner, and Wave Spray

I've had the Ouai hair oil for months now and have loved the way that it smells and the way it makes my hair feel. I had also completely used up a deluxe sample of the leave-in conditioner and loved how it detangles my hair. I decided to buy the full-size product because I also bought a hair dryer this month (can't believe I lived without one for so long!) and wanted the heat protection that it provides. I usually use a shampoo bar, but it was leaving my hair feeling less-than-clean because of product buildup and hard water. The detox shampoo was highly recommended and so far I'm liking that it keeps my hair feeling clean without being too drying. I only use it once a week so the bottle will last forever. Lastly, the wave spray. I have really thick, coarse hair and it works really well at setting my natural wave and also giving me a lot of texture at the crown and roots. It is a little sticky so beware it might weigh down thinner hair.

Shark HyperAir Hair Dryer

I've never owned a blow dryer - isn't that crazy? But as the winter approaches, I wanted something to dry my hair efficiently without causing damage so I wouldn't have to go to bed with wet hair. This is a cheaper (but still super expensive) version of the Dyson blow dryer. By that I mean it doesn't have a fan like conventional ones and also comes with attachments that allow you to style your hair as it dries. I've used it a couple times so far and I'm a fan. The brush attachment smooths my hair and makes it look like I just got a blowout. Coupled with a couple well placed velcro rollers, I have picture perfect hair in no time. I don't love how clunky it is and I have problems using it with both hands (or maybe that's just a personal problem). If you are interested in getting one, I used a 20% off coupon at Bed Bath and Beyond and got the dryer with the condenser and brush attachment for like $129.

Let me know what products you bought this month that you're loving! The standout product for me is 1000% the hair dryer! Can't believe I lived without one for so long.
