What I bought June 2022: Aritzia, AllBirds, and Madewell!
I've had a couple low-buy months, but I am back with another what I bought post. This is filled with a lot of clothing items because I have a trip next month that I needed new work clothes for. My everyday work clothes is very casual and I wanted items that were comfortable, but a little nicer for a conference I am attending. I've linked everything that is still available if you'd like to purchase.
A few months ago I purchased The Earth Tee in the pink color palash and it has quickly turned into one of my most worn pieces. It is 100% cotton, naturally dyed, and made sustainably. The fit is slightly cropped and boxy. I wear a small, which is my usual size although a medium would give me a looser fit. I had some store credit which I used to repurchase the shirt in the blue and black colors. Not sponsored, but use this link if you want a discount on your first order!
Aritzia
I often feel that I am too poor and unstylish to shop at Aritzia, but they were having a giant sale and I found a couple of pieces too good to pass up. First was the Jane blouse in 5 Years Bleu With Love (a medium wash denim color). I already had the same shirt in a dark brown color and love it, so when I saw it was half off I had to purchase another color. It's 100% cotton and a loose oversized fit. I bought an extra small (a size down from what I usually wear), and it is perfect. I also bought the Day Linen pants in the shade Morel (an olive green). These pants have an adjustable drawcord waist and a straight leg fit. I love them so much. They are comfortable, loose and airy, and can be dressed up and down. I would feel just as comfortable wearing these to my conference as I would for a day at the farmer's market. I got a size small and usually am around a size 4 or 27. I was a little worried the length would be too long since I am short, but the hem hits me around my ankle.
AllBirds
I needed a new pair of everyday shoes and ordered the Tree Piper in Kaikoura White. I love AllBirds mission of sustainability and have wanted to buy a pair for a while now. These have not come in yet, but I can do a full review once they do if you're interested.
Madewell
I got three pairs of lightweight pants that can be dressed up and down. I've been spending a lot of time outdoors and having more breathable fabrics was something I wanted to invest in. The first is the Cotton-Linen Pull-On High-Rise Tapered Pants: Button Front Edition. I ordered a standard small and honestly could have sized down as it's a little loose on the waist. It is super comfortable and the faded earth color goes with everything. The second pair is the Lightspun Pull-On Balloon Pants in blue horizon. The color is a really pretty light blue and this pant is more gauzy than the other ones and feels thicker. The last one is Linen Blend Track Trousers in black. This is by far the most sleek of the pants that I bought. It isn't as flowy and the knit is tighter so it looks the most professional.
