5 Must-Buys from Aritzia For the Summer
I've been trying to level up my wardrobe this summer and one of my new favorite stores for work appropriate clothes is Aritzia. They are currently having their big summer sale and I thought that I'd share a few of my favorite pieces with you. Just a disclaimer, I'm quite petite (5'0) and usually wear a size 4 or 6 and a 27 for pants.
This blouse comes in both long and short sleeve and full and cropped length options. I have two of the full-length long sleeved shirts (5 Years Bleu with Love and Bitter Orange) and one of the full-length short sleeved shirts (Gd Soft Fuschia). I love these shirts because they are 100% cotton and really breathable, but are good quality and thick enough that they are not see through. These shirts can be dressed up or down and are one of my wardrobe must-haves. One note is that they are extremely oversized and I sized down to an extra small. The extra small is still slightly oversized, but I'm not swimming in it.
I got a size small in the Morel color, which is olive green. These are linen pants, but they don't wrinkle as easily as other types of linen. They are really light and breathable and I haven't noticed the green color being see through at all. It has a tie waist and a tapered leg and is another item that can be easily dressed up or down.
I love all of the sculpt knit tanks that I own, but my current favorite is the cropped crisscross neck in the turquoise blue/grapefruit coral stripes color. These tanks are made of a thicker material than I would usually wear in the summer, but the benefit is that they hold everything in so you can go braless. There are a variety of necklines, full and cropped styles, and tops and dresses in the sculpt knit line. I will note that there seems to be quality issues with this latest run of sculpt knit tanks and I've heard of many people having issues with unravelling seams.
I am usually more of a pants/shorts girl, but I bought this skirt in the wheat color during the sale and I am obsessed. It is a mini skirt with a slit over the left leg in a linen blend. The wheat color is not too yellow and is actually a fun almost-natural color for me. I bought a size 4 and it works, although I think a 6 would have fit me slightly better around the waist.
These are an easy pull-on linen blend short. I wear a small and have the color Chambray Wheat. This is a nice yellow toned cream color that is a pretty summer neutral. These aren't the most dressy shorts, but they are nice to pull over a bikini as a coverup and are perfect for lounging around the house in. This is one of those products that I wouldn't buy at full price, but at 50% off, it's a steal!
Let me know what you think of Aritzia and if you bought anything from the summer sale.
