Put Yourself Out There
In life and relationships there are often two schools of thought: what's right for you will eventually come to you, and you have to put yourself out there. Through the years I've tried both, but prefer the latter. No matter what your goals are personally or professionally, here's why you should put yourself out there.
It's Active
While it might be true that you'll eventually get what's right for you in life, I prefer the active nature of putting yourself out there. Hustling and trying to fight for what you want and think you deserve is a great thing. Being vulnerable, trying new things, and taking risks are all things that will make you a stronger person in the long run, regardless of if you achieve your goal or not.
You Never Know What'll Happen
If you're looking for a new job, you should put yourself out there and go to networking events. You never know when you'll meet someone that can help you grow. The same could be true for relationships or any other goal in your life. If you don't expand your circle and actively try to meet new people or try new activities, you don't have a chance of changing your life.
Because You Should Lead a Life With No Regrets
At the end of the day, you should put yourself out there because you're dreams and goals are worth fighting for. Being vulnerable and uncomfortable in the short term could lead to long term happiness. Don't let the fear of the unknown or fear of what other people think of you keep you from pursuing the life you deserve.
I'm a big fan of the hustle. Putting yourself out there is never easy, but is always rewarding. Let me know your thoughts on this in the comments below!
