Fall 2022 Beauty Favorites
I've done a little beauty shopping lately and wanted to share some of my current favorite products with you today. I wear makeup everyday, but I am a creature of habit and only really stick to neutrals. These products are in no particular order, but are staples in my five minute makeup routine!
1) MAC lipsticks (Taupe and Spirit)
I am in to a rosy brown lipstick for the cooler months. I like a lipstick that is still neutral and not too pink, but a little deeper than what I would wear in the summer. Taupe is a matte that is more brown than pink and goes with any outfit or makeup look. Spirit is a satin finish that has a bit more pink into it and is a really nice work lipstick.
2) MAC eyeshadow in All That Glitters
Can you tell that I did a little MAC haul recently? All That Glitters is an eyeshadow that I had never purchased before, but I was looking for a nice neutral single shadow that is easy to travel with and a good all over lid color. This is a veluxe pearl finish, which means that it has a good amount of shimmer, but isn't frosty or chunky glitter. It is a champagne neutral that works really nicely on my skin tone.
3) MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Cheeky Bronze
Okay, this is the last MAC product! I used to use MAC a lot in high school and rediscovering the brand has me really excited about my new products! This skinfinish is a really golden bronze with sparkle to it. It seems like it might be more of a summer product, and it is really good in the summer to enhance a tan! But I am liking it for a neutral all in one bronze/blush/highlight on my cheeks. I use a fluffy highlighter brush to sweep it from my apples along my cheekbones towards my temples and it gives a hint of color and a really nice natural glow. I suffer from redness on my cheeks naturally so this is a nice alternative to blush for me.
This is more of a skincare product because I use it primarily at night while I'm sleeping, but I also use it on my lips on days where I teach and am wearing a face mask most of the day. I don't love that it's a pot (it just feels unhygienic to me), but it truly is the best lip balm and all that gets me through winter without chapped lips. I'm currently using the Sweet Candy flavor, but I've tried a lot of them and they're all incredible.
5) MEFA At Home Gel Manicure Kit
I have been back on the gel manicure train. I love how it looks good and lasts for weeks. I've made it a ritual every other sunday putting on a movie and spending some time on my nails. I have a post with some of my tips and tricks and a more thorough review of this kit here, but in short I love the neutral colors, array of finishes, and that I can get 2-3 weeks from a manicure!
Let me know what your makeup and beauty favorites have been lately and if there are any products I need to try out!
