White Nails are the Summer Vibe You Never Knew You Needed

I've actually been painting my nails lately, which is a damn miracle! I usually never paint my nails because my feet are in shoes and my hands get massively fucked up in the lab. However, this past month I've been out of the lab to deal with some personal life changes and I have had the freedom to paint my nails however I please. And I have found that I love white nails. Yes, it looks like I could've painted white out over my nails, and yes, it takes a lot of time and patience to avoid the streaks. But the outcome is a beautiful goes-with-anything mani of our summer dreams. 



I bought myself OPI Alpine Snow and it has been a dream to use. It is fully opaque in two coats, applies relatively easily and without streaks, and dries quickly. I love it. Add on a nice top coat to give it some shine (helps to avoid the applied white out instead of nail polish look, you know?) and you are all set to go! I've been using Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Clear Top Coat and I'm liking it, but not loving it. I've found that the formulation of it tends to move the white around when I'm applying it, but I'm not quite sure if that's a personal problem or a formulation issue.
